Smart light: why do you need it when a conventional switch already works?
Until a few years ago, smartphone lighting was more of a beautiful toy, and today, light automation is increasingly becoming a common part of apartments, homes, offices, hotels, and commercial spaces.

Until a few years ago, smartphone lighting was more of a beautiful toy, and today, light automation is increasingly becoming a common part of apartments, homes, offices, hotels, and commercial spaces.
But is it really necessary? Or is it possible to live in peace with the usual switch?
The light adjusts to you.
The main advantage of the lighting control system is that it's not possible to turn on the lamp through the phone. It's much more interesting scenarios.
So for example, you can just click on the "Evening" mode, where the main light gets softer, the backlights go on, the curtains close, in the morning, another script, and in the morning, you can watch the movie, you can watch the third.
In an office or business center, the system can automatically adjust lighting depending on the time of day, the presence of people, or the amount of natural light.
In other words, you don't have to think every time you turn on a set of lights, the system does it itself.
It is also a way to avoid wasting excess electricity.
How many times does the light stay on in an empty room, hallway, or office?
Presence sensors and automatic scripts help to use lighting only when it’s really needed.
The savings may seem small on a single lamp, but on a large facility -- a hotel, an office, a business center, or a residential complex -- there are hundreds and thousands of lighting points.
What if it's already been repaired?
Many believe that the automation system can only be installed during the construction phase.
That's not always the case.
There are both wired systems, which are better to provide in advance, and wireless solutions that allow you to add automation elements already in the finished room.
So the first question should not be “which system to buy?”, but “what tasks should it solve?”
The most common mistake is to start with the equipment.
You can buy expensive sensors, panels and switches and eventually get a system that is inconvenient to use.
It is better to define the scenarios first.
What do you want?
Does the light automatically turn off when no one is present?
So you can turn off all the lights in the house from the bedroom?
So that the lights gradually turn on in the morning?
So that lighting, climate, curtains and security are managed from one app?
Only then will a technical solution be selected.
A smart home should make life easier
Good automation is almost invisible. You don't have to remember how to use it every day.
It's just working.
And that's why when designing a system, it's important to look not just at the number of features, the brand of equipment, or the beautiful panel on the wall, but how comfortable it is for a person every day.
ART ELECTRO designs and selects solutions for lighting, automation and Smart Home systems, taking into account the specific object and tasks of the customer - from an apartment or a private house to large commercial facilities.
Because a truly intelligent system isn't the one with the most technology, it's the one you hardly have to think about.
